EURECA-PRO team in TU Bergakademie Freiberg successfully co-organised the EURECA-PRO PhD Journey 2025 together with Hochschule Mittweida (HSMW) and Universidad de León (ULE).

A total of 15 PhD candidates from the University of León, Silesian University of Technology, Université de Lorraine, Hasselt University, and the University of Petrosani were welcomed at TUBAF. The programme combined an extensive virtual pre-event phase (October–November), including introductory sessions, research and intercultural training, and language support, with an intensive on-site week in Freiberg and Mittweida.

During the in-person part of the PhD Journey (24–28 November 2025), participants took part in a mix of academic presentations, workshops, networking activities, lab tours, and excursions. The blended format allowed candidates to develop research skills, strengthen international collaboration, and engage with local academic and industrial environments.
