Dear students,

 

the Chair of Industrial Management, Production Management and Logistics offers a free software course in Life Cycle Assessment (Umberto LCA+) in January. 

 

The offer is mainly aimed at students of the Faculty of Economics, but can also be used by students of other faculties in case of free capacity.

Umberto LCA+ software is one of the leading LCA software solutions and allows to identify and reduce the resource and energy consumption of a process, optimizing the environmental performance of the products.

 

- Assessment of potential environmental impacts in accordance with ISO 14040/14044

- Graphical modeling of product life cycles

- Optimization of resource and energy efficiency

- Achieving eco-efficiency through integrated cost accounting

- Integration of life cycle assessment databases

 

Each participant will receive a certificate at the end under the following conditions:

- Attendance and successful participation at all dates of the software practical course

- Submission and passing of the assignment

 

Objectives and contents of the course:

- Introduction to the software Umberto LCA+

- Graphical representation of material and energy flows as a means of material flow analysis

- Recognition and evaluation of improvement potentials

- Visualization by means of Sankey diagram

- Determination of the CO2 footprint

- Use of subnetworks

- Cost calculation

- Export to Excel
