The Collections of TU Bergakademie Freiberg: The Main Geosciences Collections

The Freiberg Geosciences Collections are among the ten oldest and most important collections of their kind in the world. The Abraham-Gottlob-Werner-Bau houses the mineralogical collection as well as the deposit collection and the petrological collection. In addition to accompanying lectures and seminars at the Bergakademie, they also serve scientific institutions from Germany and abroad for research.

On 30 November at 5 pm, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Heide, Director of the Geosciences Collections, will report on the tasks and structure of university collections as well as current projects in the large lecture hall of the Werner Building (Brennhausgasse 14).
