The Geosciences Collections of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg are among the ten oldest and most extensive geoscientific and mining science collections in the world. Since the opening of the Bergakademie at Easter 1766, the collections have primarily served the education of students and young scientists, but also the further training of specialists.
