2025 European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry
Berlin from March 2 to 7, 2025
Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM)
Research foci
The Institute of Analytical Chemistry focuses on various specialist areas. These include
- Structural characterisation of biopolymers (lignin, cellulose, collagen, proteins) using NMR and high-resolution MS
- Trace and ultra-trace analysis in process materials and high-purity materials (tungsten, silicon, Li salts) with optical emission spectroscopy and element mass spectrometry
- 2D and 3D characterisation of inhomogeneously composed solids with mass spectrometric and X-ray spectroscopic methods (trace elements in tissue samples, mineral inclusions, layered materials, biomineralisation products, organic ingredients)
- Production of reference materials for solids analysis
- Management and service of the central NMR analytics of the TU Bergakademie with solution and solid-state NMR
For more detailed information and contact persons, please refer to the menu at the top right under the respective key points.
