Dr.-Ing. Jaypee Quino
Dr.-Ing. Jaypee Quino defended his doctoral eximination successfully on January 30th, 2017.
The title of his doctoral thesis:
Application of in situ one-dimensional Raman spectroscopy for mass transport analysis during drying processes at elevated pressure conditions
Jaypee Quino obtained his Master's degree in "Advanced Optical Technologies" offered at the Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. He already made his master thesis as member of the Applied Raman Scattering (ARS) laboratory. Then he joined the ARS laboratory and the Lehrstuhl für Technische thermodynamik as doctoral researcher. Since his doctoral graduation (January 30th, 2017), he has been working as a researcher in the ARS laboratory, still in the field of heat and mass transport at elevated pressure.
Dr.-Ing. Robert Hankel
Dr.-Ing. Robert Hankel successfully defended his doctoral thesis on October 21st, 2016.
The title of his doctoral thesis:
The Raman OH-band as a tool for process analysis in high pressure technology.
Robert did his Diplomarbeit at the Lehrstuhl für Technische Thermodynamik (LTT) and the ARS-laboratory at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in the year 2009. Afterwards he became researcher in the ARS-laboratory. He then had been working between September 2014 and August 2016 for Geburzi Gastechnik and afterwards changed to Linde group.
Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Luther
Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Luther successfully defended his doctoral thesis on August 22nd, 2016.
The title of his doctoral thesis:
Optical Analysis of multi-phase mixtures in micro capillaries at elevated pressure.
Sebastian joined the ARS laboratory as a researcher back in 2011 after he had successfully completed his master thesis on the SAS-process also in the ARS laboratory. Since September 2016 he has been working for Valeo Klimasysteme.
Dr.-Ing. Matthias Rossmann
Dr.-Ing. Matthias Rossmann successfully defended his doctoral thesis on th July, 2015.
The title of his doctoral thesis:
Tailor made functional particles by means of supercritical antisolvent (SAS) processing.
He joined the ARS laboratory after his diploma thesis concerning the conception and start up of a fully automated high pressure plant for particle synthesis in January 2010. The thesis was co-supervised at the Institute of Process Machinery and Systems Engineering (iPAT) also located at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
Since August 2014 he has been working for Audi AG.
Dr.-Ing. Karla Reinhold-López, M.Sc.
Dr.-Ing. Karla Reinhold-López successfully defeded her doctoral thesis on April 24th, 2015.
The title of her doctoral thesis:
Application of light scattering techniques for the in situ analysis of the catalytic chemical vapour deposition of carbon nanotubes.
She joined the ARS laboratory and the institute of engineering thermodynamics (LTT) back in 2008 during her master studies and she started to work with laser optical techniques for understanding the mixture and particle formation in the supercritical antisolvent process. She received her M.Sc. degree from the faculty of engineering of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in the same year. Then she pursued her Ph.D. working on Raman spectroscopy during the catalytic chemical vapor deposition of carbon nanotubes. Since January 2014 she has been working for Valeo Klimasysteme.
Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Math. Oliver Knauer
Oliver Knauer successfully defended his thesis on July 21st, 2014. Since September 2012 he has been working as school teacher.
The title of his thesis:
Quantifizierung des Stofftransports in mehrphasigen Hochdrucksystemen mittels eindimensionaler Ramanspektroskopie
Dr.-Ing. Sascha Engel, M.Eng.
Sascha Engel successfully defended his thesis on September 12th, 2013. Since September 2013 he works for "Valeo Klimasysteme".
The title of his thesis:
In situ Bestimmung von Zusammensetzung binärer Gemische mittels Laser-Raman-Streulichttechniken.
Dr.-Ing. Stefan Dowy M.Eng.
Stefan Dowy graduated as a Dr.-Ing. in November 2011 with the best result possible "very good with distinction" which is equivalent to summa cum laude. He left the ARS laboratory on August 31st, 2011, and works in industry since then.
The title of his thesis was:
"Anwendung von Streulichttechniken zur In-situ-Analyse des Partikelbildungsprozesses im überkritischen Antisolvent-Verfahren"
Dr.-Ing. Anna Malarski
Anna Malarski received the Dr.-Ing. degree in February, 2009.
The title of her thesis is:
"Zweidimensionale Tropfengrößenbestimmung in Sprays mittels Laser-Raman-Streuung und Laer-Mie-Streuung"
The faculty of engineering conferred the Thesis Award for her distinguished doctoral thesis to her.
Afterwards she took a position at Wacker Chemie AG.
