TUBAF offers a wide range of Bachelor's, Master's and Diploma programmes, including unique courses such as Applied Science, Materials Science and Technology, Robotics and Engineering.
Practical orientation is our focus, and thanks to our intensive contacts in industry, our students can complete internships or theses with leading companies and research partners and establish contacts with potential employers.
International partnerships and exchange programmes offer students the opportunity to gain experience abroad and network with fellow students from different countries. TU Bergakademie Freiberg actively supports international mobility and intercultural exchange.

Experience university during the holidays - get to know degree programmes
Are you thinking about what you want to do after school and are interested in studying? During the holidays, you have the opportunity to gain an insight into everyday university life at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
From 30 June, you can take a look at lectures and laboratories, talk to students and get to know various degree programmes. You will also meet other students who are also interested in studying.

Inform, orientate, decide
It is important to inform yourself before you start your studies in order to make the right choice. In order to get to know TU Bergakademie Freiberg in advance, there are a variety of offers, such as study fairs close to your home town, the Campus Day in January and in spring, our student university during the school holidays and much more. Here, prospective students can find out more about the content, requirements and prospects of the various degree programmes.
Central Student Advisory Service
The first port of call for prospective students is the Central Student Advisory Service. It will answer your questions about studying in a personal counselling session, in a telephone conversation, by email or soon again in a web consultation. Here are some of the topics we can advise you on:

- How can I get to know the university?
- What career prospects do I have with the degree programme?
- Do I need an internship for my Bachelor's degree programme?
- Can I study without an Abitur?

Studienbeginn zum Wintersemester 2025/2026
Vor dem Beginn der Lehrveranstaltungen bieten die Orientierungs- und Einführungstage Gelegenheit zum Auffrischen von Abiturwissen in Mathe, Chemie und Physik, unsere Info-Börse bietet die Gelegenheit zur Anmeldung in einen Sportkurs, es können Laborkittel erworben werden und man kann sich zu IT-Fragen beraten lassen. Dazu gibt es Angebote zu Campustouren, zum Kennenlernen der Uni-Stadt und ein vielfältiges Angebot des StuRa und der Fachschaften.

Einzigartig - Ausbildung Wissenschaftliches Tauchen im Studium
Nur an der TU Bergakademie Freiberg haben Studierende die Möglichkeit, sich zu zertifizierten wissenschaftlichen Taucherinnen und Tauchern ausbilden zu lassen. Die Ausbildung kombiniert praxisnahes Tauchen mit dem Einsatz wissenschaftlicher Geräte und Methoden unter Wasser. Das erworbene Zertifikat eröffnet vielseitige berufliche Perspektiven – etwa in der Umwelt- und Bauwerksbegutachtung, der Forschung in Bergbaufolgelandschaften oder der Entwicklung von Mess- und Monitoring-Technik für den Unterwassereinsatz.
