Countdown Freiberg is a non-commercial project. It has no official connection to Mojang Studios or Microsoft Corporation.

Do you love Minecraft? If so, you’ve already developed many skills that are also in demand in college. Creating worlds, discovering resources, planning strategically, solving challenges, and achieving great things together with others—these are exactly the skills that play a central role at TU Bergakademie Freiberg

With the interactive Minecraft quest series “Countdown Freiberg” you can get to know the university and the city in a fun way even before you start your studies. You’ll explore faithfully recreated locations, complete exciting missions, and delve into topics such as raw material extraction, sustainable technologies, and the circular economy. The adventure combines gaming fun with real-world issues of the future and shows how science shapes our world.

WIN Orientation Program

Study or training? Which subject area do you particularly enjoy? Where do your strengths and skills lie? Can you combine enjoyment, skills and talent?

The WIN orientation program at TU Bergakademie Freiberg offers you the opportunity to answer these and other open questions about your future by trying things out. Over two semesters, you can individually compile, try out and study course content from the fields of Earth Sciences and Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering, Business Administration and Law, Computer Science and Robotics, as well as Natural Sciences according to your own needs.

On the way to making the right decision, you can already take exams that can be credited to a subsequently chosen degree program upon request. With the WIN orientation program, you are enrolled at TU Bergakademie Freiberg with student status.

Take one or two semesters to try out a degree program without consequences, but with many advantages.
