Structural support of Ukrainian Universities in Upkeep and rebuilding of higher education activities in the field of Resources and Technology - SUUUpoRT

SUUUpoRT project

The TU Bergakademie Freiberg would like to make a contribution to maintaining university operations in Ukraine. The aim is to temporarily compensate virtually for the lack of courses caused by the loss of the necessary infrastructure on the one hand and staff shortages on the other, thus ensuring the continuation of studies and teaching. As part of the increasing virtualisation of the courses offered at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, emergency aid is to be provided at short notice and access to courses offered by our university is to be opened up to students from Ukraine. In addition to immediate access to existing courses (in the natural sciences, engineering and economics) in English, a virtual offer is currently being set up to support Ukrainian degree programmes with the involvement of Ukrainian lecturers, some of whom are spread across Europe. More virtual courses with the option of acquiring ECTS points online will be made available gradually and in line with demand.

SUUpoRT is one of seven projects funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education. The aim of the special funding programme "Learning and Teaching. Focus Ukraine" is to create university teaching, learning and support programmes for students from Ukraine who would like to continue their studies temporarily digitally or in person at a university in Germany. On the other hand, Ukrainian academics and university staff can be involved in the projects to be funded. Networking activities between students and academics are also supported.
