Production Management

The lecture deals with questions of strategic production management, the design of the infrastructure of the production system, operational production planning and control as well as the planning of logistical processes. Building on the "Production and Procurement" module, the knowledge of production and logistics management is expanded and deepened. The course focuses on teaching basic concepts and methods to enable students to analyse and structure the complex issues of production and logistics management and to develop alternative solutions.

Objectives of the course:
  • Overview of the planning, organisation, implementation and control of industrial service provision processes
  • Introduction to the decision-oriented planning and control approaches of production and logistics management
  • Teaching methodological and problem-solving skills
