Production and Procurement

This course provides an introduction to industrial production and logistics. The most important production management and logistics planning problems are dealt with and an overview of the methods available to solve them is presented. The first part of the lecture series deals with questions of strategic production management and the design of the production system. The second part deals with operational production planning and control as well as the planning of logistical processes.

Aims of the course:
  • Overview of the sub-areas of production and logistics
  • Introduction to decision-oriented planning and control approaches
  • Teaching methodological and problem-solving skills
