"Collecting minerals made easy!" with the mineralinos children's club

Are you interested in minerals? Do beautiful stones like to disappear in your trouser pocket? Are you older than 7 years? That's great! In our kids' club, you can meet other young mineral fans to learn more about minerals and collecting. You can identify and analyse your own finds in the hands-on "Research Journey" laboratory. Are you curious? We meet once a month, always on Mondays at 3.30 pm.

The "Collecting minerals made easy!" project is being implemented in 2024 by "Museum macht stark!" of the German Museums Association as part of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research's "Kultur macht stark" programme.

Why is the Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří mining region a UNESCO World Heritage Site? What does it mean to be a World Heritage Site? And which minerals are included? We take a look at the new part of the exhibition at terra mineralia and go in search of the World Heritage minerals in the Mineralogical Collection Germany.
