Advanced Materials Analysis (AMA)
Goals: To achieve profound insight into important techniques for analysis of materials like advanced steels, materials for electronics, shape memory alloys and energy materials.
Degree: Master of Science (M.Sc.)
Specifics: Based on a Bachelor’s degree in materials science, physics or chemistry student will be prepared for a career in industry as well as in academia especially in the fields of metallurgy or semiconductor industry.

Advanced Mineral Resource Development (AMRD)
Goals: To gain competence in developing sustainable, environmental friendly methods in mining and mine remediation under economical considerations. The Master programme combines natural, engineering, and economic sciences and encourages the acquisition of intercultural competence.

Specifics: Study in three different countries – besides Austria and Germany, you can choose between Ukraine, Mongolia, China, Iran, Russia and Portugal.

Computational Materials Science (CMS)
Goals: Be able to simulate material behavior in several computational methods, achieve the academic qualification to build the links between Mechanical Engineering, Materials Sciences and Solid State Physics.

Geomatics for Mineral Resource Management
Goals: To learn about the regulation and control of the interplay between resource extraction and its environmental impact.
Specifics: Geomatics is an interdisciplinary field of research that combines aspects of surveying and sensor technology with data processing, geoinformatics and geomodelling. Four partner universities to study at electively.

International Business and Resources in Emerging Markets (IBRE)
Goals: Providing future Eastern and Western managers with the theoretical and practical insights into modern international business administration and development economics needed to excel in top-careers.

Specifics: Particularities of management of intellectual capital, natural resources, and the environment are complemented with intercultural competences in markets of former transitional, emerging or developing countries.

Mathematics for Data and Resource Sciences
Goals: Successful graduates will have acquired the ability to understand and exploit large amounts of data, a mastery of so-called computer-based machine learning as well as a broad understanding of problems in the field of scarce resources – such as rare raw materials, in particular, or planet Earth in general.

Mechanical and Process Engineering (MPE)
Goal: Advanced knowledge of development methods in mechanical engineering and process engineering

Specifics: Combines the knowledge of machinery and plants with methods of process engineering;
The degree programmes "International Master of Science in Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Resources" (ENTER as part of the EIT Raw Materials) and "Master course in Georesources Engineering" – Erasmus Mundus programme in the EIT Raw Materials, EMerald) are integrated into the Master programme Mechanical and Process Engineering at TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Students of ENTER and EMerald can complete their third semester at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
