Program 2017 "Secret of Science"
2nd Freiberger Promovierendenkonferenz "Secret of Science"
Will be 8th June 2017 in the New Mensa, Conference room. This is the 2nd interdisciplinary colloquium for PhD candidates organized by the council of doctorial candidates of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
Young scientists will present their work to colleagues from other research fields and the public. The main purpose of such open talks is presenting one’s specific research topic in a simplified way to researchers outside this subject's area. Under the topic "Secret of Science: Interdisciplinary research communication and public presentation", there will be three sessions under different subtopics were PhD candidates will present their experience in scientific communication based on their own research projects. We will start each session with a keynote speaker, continue with the PhD talks and finish in a panel discussion with all speakers on the topic of each session. The first session will start in the morning followed by two in the afternoon after the lunch break.
During the coffee breaks we will provide a place were PhD candidates can present posters on their research, have the opportunity for networking and for planning future collaborations.
