The MBA program in International Management of Resources and Environment IMRE offers a generalist education, that is economically and engineering-scientifically orientated. It is aimed to provide students with a Bachelor degree and first job experience with skills in management, economics and law for solving general and specific problems in the field of resource management and environmental protection.
The design of the curriculum intends to offer a well balanced mixture of subjects in general economics and business administration, environmental and sustainability management and law. Compulsory basic courses are aimed at providing the necessary fundamental knowledge, i.e. building the bridge between the previous study programs and the MBA programe in Freiberg. Within core electives, the students are able to set a first focus in advanced courses. The free electives offer then the possibility to specialise further, using the broad opportunities of offered modules at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Accompanying modules in key enabling qualifications support the students in developing their research abilities. Additionally, possibilities for an improvement of their German proficiency are given.
