I. Design a Procedure for the identification of the environmental aspects

The purpose of the procedure is to gain insight into the environmental aspects. The outcome is an inventory of environmental aspects.

  1. Design an appropriate header
  2. Design a diagram with the process of the procedure, from "start" to "finish" with the steps in between indicated as such. Show the connection between the various stages with arrows, eventually indicating loops
  3. If appropriate, describe or illustrate in words what is meant and implied by each stage
  4. Indicate the responsibilities for each stage
  5. Indicate any accompanying documents, if appropriate

II. Design a Procedure for the identification of the significant environmental aspects

The purpose of the procedure is to derive the significant environmental aspects from the inventory of environmental aspects. The outcome is an inventory of significant environmental aspects.

  1. Design an appropriate header
  2. Design a diagramme with the process of the procedure, from "start" to "finish" with the steps in between indicated as such. Show the connection between the various stages with arrows, eventually indicating loops
  3. If appropriate, describe or illustrate in words what is meant and implied by each stage
  4. Indicate the responsibilities for each stage
  5. Indicate any accompanying documents, if appropriate

III. Draft an Inventory of significant environmental aspects

  1. Design an appropriate header
  2. Design a Table of all significant aspects, showing the criteria which are used for the assessment
  3. The Table should be self-explanatory and show the outcome of the assessment of the aspects according to the criteria.
  4. Explain the "key" to the assessment, probably in a small separate graphical illustration
  5. Indicate any accompanying documents, if appropriate

Assignment 6

Design a procedure for the training of staff and persons working for the organization.

(1) Header
(2) Scope of the procedure
(3) Identification of trainings needs
(4) Determine who needs training
(5) Bear in mind the specifics of the management of training of non-employees
(6) Plan (annual??) for training
(7) Performing the training: inside (Who gives training?) or outside the organisation (how is outside `training purchased?)
(8) Assessing the outcomes of the training
(9) Graphical illustration
(10) Responsible persons for the various stages of the procedure
(11) Accompanying documents
(12) How do you use PCDA for the practical use of the procedure?

Assignment 7

Prepare a report for the management review.

(1) Header
(2) Scope of the report (time period, business units covered .)
(3) Highlight the (environmental) objectives as set in your environmental programme and indicate whether you have met these objectives
(4) Highlight any emergencies and other unexpected problems which you did encounter
(5) Try to give an overall evaluation of the environmental performance of the organisation for the time period covered
(6) Any suggestions for improvement?
(7) Present the report in a clear format which is easy to interpret by Top Management
