  • Electrochemical energy storage (lithium-ion, solid electrolytes, cathodes)
  • Crystal physical coupling phenomena (pyroelectricity)
  • Electron density determination (experiment and theory)
  • Higher-dimensional crystallography (modulated phases)
  • Intermetallics and correlated electron systems (superconductivity, magnetism)

Methods

  • Electrochemical analysis: battery cycling, impedance spectroscopy
  • Crystallographic structure elucidation methods based on X-ray and synchrotron radiation, in particular single-crystal X-ray diffraction
  • Crystallochemical methods for determination of properties of crystalline materials
