IDM: Activate Account

Before you create a data record for your person in the Identity Management System (IDM), you must agree to this for reasons of data protection. A distinction is made between records from:

  • students (Studierende)
  • employees (Beschäftigte)
  • visitors (Gäste)
  • pure university library users (Universitätsbibliothek)

The first login in the IDM takes place via the loginname and the initial password that you received on your user certificate from the URZ.

To use the library, you must also agree to the Terms of Service. Prerequisite for library use is a matriculation ID, employee ID or library card. In the event of changes to the Terms of Service, re-approval is required.

After the initial registration and approval of the Terms of Service, you will be prompted to change your initial password. This is a compulsory task for every user!
