Teaching in the Winter Semester 2021

Subject to the proviso that the future overriding regulations of the Federal Government and the Free State of Saxony, as well as the general pandemic situation, also permit our approach, the University is planning a semester in the most normal attendance mode possible with the following regulations:

  • English-language Master's degree programmes continue to be offered in digital format for the first two semesters
  • Face coverings (FFP2 or medical face masks) are mandatory, the so-called “3G rule” (i.e. spaces are only open to those who are vaccinated, recovered, or tested - geimpft, genesen, getestet), as well as the AHA+L rule (i.e. taking care of social distance, hygiene, wear a face mask and ventilation) for in-person events (on-site) and when entering the university buildings. Check-in to the lecture halls with the pass4all app for contact tracing (Alternatively, fill in the contact registration form  for events)
  • 3G rule (please see above for explanation) for indoor and outdoor events: Being vaccinated, recovered or holding a negative test is mandatory. The test must not be older than 48 hours.
  • Testing facilities in the “Neue Mensa”:
    Opening hours: Monday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
