There are many different ways of promoting research. National and European funding opportunities exist side by side and partly complement each other. In the following we give an overview of the existing offers.
National funding programmes
This covers information, advice and support for applicants in the German Federal State Programmes (such as Federal Ministries); the programmes of the Free State of Saxony and other funding institutions (such as foundations). more
Information and support for applications to EU research funding programmes:
- Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (HORIZON 2020) and
- EU Structural Funds Programmes
- further European funding programmes for research
Funding by the Dr. Erich Krüger Foundation
The Dr. Erich Krüger Foundation supports practice-oriented research projects at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. In particular, it supports research activities whose results can be implemented in the Free State of Saxony, preferably in Freiberg.
A funding guideline (only available in German language) adopted in June 2021 provides information on the eligible measures and the modalities of the application process.
