Annaberg Climate Days
To date, the Annaberg Climate Days have attracted 110 speakers from nine nations. The content encompasses social and political science points of view next to natural science and technical aspects. Representatives from universities and state agencies are regularly invited for talks jointly with colleagues from research institutions such as PIK Potsdam, Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg, NOAA, the German Climate Service Center, Academies of Science, the Tyndall Centre in England, the Allensbach Institute, the Science Centre Berlin, the IÖR Dresden, UNEP and companies. Anthropogenic climate change is a wicked problem – with no simple answers in stock. Therefore, a highly differentiated approach needs to be taken and the issues elucidated from various perspectives. That is what the Annaberg Climate Days stand for – and what you can expect now for future conferences.
