Important information regarding the ERASMUS+ application
Application deadline for the full academic year 2020/21 is 28 February 2020. Even if you are planning to go abroad for the summer semester 2021 we encourage you to apply until 28 February.
1. General information
Find information online about the ERASMUS partner university of your institute/faculty and their programmes compatible to your degree course. The partner universities are specified on our list of Erasmus partner universities. Most institutes and faculties will also offer additional information on their websites.
2. Preparation of the application forms
Please prepare the following documents:
- Transcript of Records of current studies (ECTS-Leistungsnachweis from the self-service portal) or previous studies, if you are in your first semester at TU Bergakademie Freiberg
- Proof of sufficient language proficiency in the language of instruction at partner university
- Learning Agreement (list of planned courses/modules at the partner university)
- current proof of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung from self-service portal)
- short CV and a passport photo
3. Online Application
For your online application please complete the application form (applications for 2020/21 will be opened from December 2019).
When asked for an email address please use one that you check regularly. You can only choose a partner institution that has signed an inter-institutional agreement with TU Bergakademie Freiberg. You can choose one or two host institutions. After submitting the application form you will receive an email that asks you to register. You need to follow the link to register, otherwise you will not be able to perform the following steps. You need to login with your university login and password.
After uploadinig all application documents in the online portal please print the application form, sign it and upload in the next step of your pipeline.
4. What happens next
Once the application deadline has passed, individual places will be distributed. Both students and partner institutions will be informed about the decision by the International Centre. This is the so-called nomination. The nomination does not mean automatic admission to the partner institution. After the nomination you still have to apply at the partner institution. For further information please refer to the partner institution's website for exchange students or the information provided by the partner institution by email. There will be a compulsory information session detailing the next steps and deadlines.
For all students studying in another language at the partner institution than their native language the EU Commission introduced a mandatory language test in Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish. Before the start of your studies you will receive an invitation to a language assessment test and, if necessary, a licence for an online language course.
5. Applications after the application deadline
If you apply after 28 February we still might be able to place you but maybe not at your first choice host institution. Application is also through the online portal.
