Engineering investigations on slope movements at the tube track of the PSW Hohenwarte II

For this purpose, an idealized section of the slope was split into homogeneous areas, given rock-mechanical parameters and discretized two-dimensionally with finite elements. The calculations, which covered a period of 40 years and were carried out with and without ridge water pressure, first showed that it is possible in principle to numerically simulate the creeping of near-surface, fractured and disturbed rocky slopes. However, it had to be noted at the same time that there is still a great deal of research to be done in this area, and thus no detailed forecasts can be made for longer periods of time. The avoidance of high Kluftwasserdrücke z. B. by appropriate drainage measures was worked out by parameter variation calculations as a sure result.
