Department of Management Information Systems, especially Information economy and Business informatics

The Department understands Information Systems, especially Business Informatics as an applied science, which deals with the conception, maintenance and use of information and communication systems. It addresses the problems to be solved from the practice, is interdisciplinary, and develops guidelines for practice. In particular, this interdisciplinary orientation - methods and tools from the real, formal and engineering sciences - are confronted by diploma students not only with questions of technical effectiveness, but also with economic and social aspects of the reality.
