The "Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg" foundation has created an opportunity that enables the university - independently of public budgets - to take new, future-oriented initiatives and realise ideas.

Dr Erich Krüger Foundation
The Dr Erich Krüger Foundation was established on 14 December 2006 by the Munich entrepreneur Peter Krüger. With the "Dr Erich Krüger Foundation", the TU Bergakademie Freiberg received the largest endowment of a state university in Germany.

Heinisch Foundation
The constituent meeting of the newly established "Heinisch Foundation" took place on 19 May 2015. The estate of Mr Günter Heinisch, which will go to the VFF, will be used to promote the geoscientific collections.
