Honorary doctorate for Prof. Dr. Alexander Zinoviev

Even without handshake and personal handing over of the certificate Prof. Zinoviev could be sure of the thanks and recognition of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. As a professor at the National University of Science and Technology MISiS, he has a long, trusting scientific collaboration with the University of Freiberg.

"Together, our two institutions have achieved a great deal in the field of materials science and materials technology in recent years. For example, there is still a lively exchange of students and scientists as well as numerous interdisciplinary projects with NUST MISiS in various fields of materials science ranging from metallurgy, steel technology and forming technology to materials and nanotechnology," explains Prof. Dr. Rudolf Kawalla from the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.

This would not have been possible without Prof. Zinoviev's continuous commitment. It was only the intensive cooperation with the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and especially with the International University Center that resulted in recognized double degrees and double doctorates despite different awarding and educational systems. Decisive achievements for a further development of the binational education of young scientists.
