Delegations from Rumania and Panama visit TU Bergakademie Freiberg
Together with five scientists, Sorin Mihai Radu, Rector of the University of Petrosani, has been visiting Freiberg. There has been a close relationship with the Romanian university for more than 25 years, mainly in the fields of raw materials and environment. The University of Petrosani has a similar profile as TU Bergakademie Freiberg, extended by social and administrative sciences, as well as comparable number of enroled students. Due to the orientation in the fields of raw materials, mechanical engineering and economic sciences, there are several common interests and also common international cooperation partners.
During the current visit, further cooperation possibilities were discussed. The background is the cooperation in the European University Network EURECA-PRO. In the coming years, the alliance of universities aims above all to develop new study programs that meet the needs of future social development and combine technical, ecological, social, legal and other aspects in an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary manner. This includes joint bachelor's and master's degree programs as well as double doctorates and summer schools.
