Akita University in northern Honshu, Japan, is almost an identical twin of TU Bergakademie Freiberg. This is no coincidence but goes back to the commitment of the Freiberg professor Curt Adolph Netto. In 2021, we celebrated 150 years of collaboration.

During the BHT - FREIBERGER UNIVERSITÄTSFORUM 2022 in Freiberg, a half-day colloquium will strengthen the ties between the two partner universities. This year we focus on aspects in environmental sciences: resource recovery and metal separation, hydrogen storage and transport.
