Field trip Hammerunterwiesenthal
On June 20th 2011 a group of the SEG-SC Freiberg visited the marble-deposit Hammerunterwiesenthal of GEOMIN.
Long night of science
On June 18th 2011 the SEG-SC Freiberg provided information about the future of mining in Saxony and the work of a geologist at the SEG-SC booth.

Bike tour around Freiberg dumps
Visit at 3 dumps of historicmining activity of the Freiberg district on May 6th 2011. Also collecting of ore minerals like sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite as well as gangue minerals like baryte.
Field Trip to collect Black Sand
Target minerals of the field trip on May 1st 2011 were magnetite and cassiterite. Several small goldflakes were discovered as well.
Grilling to meet the SEG-Studentchapter
On April 28th 2011 the SEG-SC invited geology-students for grilling. The aim was to get into contact with students of second and fourth semester.
Participating at SGA-SC-Conference in Prague and Field Trip to Prîbram
From April 15th to 18th 2011 a conference of the SGA-SC of Prague was held. Two members of the Freiberg SEG-SC won prices for their presentations.On April 18th a Field Trip to Prîbram - a former uranium district - took place.
