3rd Seminar on Ferroic Functional Materials

The 3rd Seminar on Ferroic Functional Materials and the 13th International Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems in Piezoelectricity will take place at the University of Kassel from October 4 - 6, 2017.

Objectives

The joint seminar is dedicated to the diverse fields of ferroic materials including ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism and combined multiferroic behavior. It covers mathematical modeling, experimental methods and industrial applications of ferroic materials and devices. Aim of the combined seminar is to contribute to open problems in:  

  • numerical simulation (direct and inverse analyses)
  • advanced material characterization
  • experimental techniques
  • fatigue, damage, cracks and reliability
  • manufacturing processes and performance of e.g. piezoelectric transducers and sensors

The overall intention of the workshop is to bring together experts from different fields of research such as engineering, applied mathematics, and materials science, as well as from the industrial sector. The 3rd Seminar on Ferroic Functional Materials and the 13th International Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems in Piezoelectricity will continue series of previous workshops/seminars that were animated by lively discussions from numerous participants.
